Rev. Jeremiah Wright to speak in Warner Robins

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, pastor emeritus at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, is scheduled to speak at First Baptist Church-Garmon Street in Warner Robins on Sunday.

There will be one service that day, where Wright will speak at 10 a.m. in the New Beginning Center, according to the calendar on the church’s website, www.fbcgarmon.org.

Wright is the former pastor of President Barack Obama. In 2008, controversy surrounded Wright due to statements he made in past sermons.

Calls to First Baptist Church went unanswered Wednesday.
