The new Medical Center of Peach County will receive its first patients on Tuesday, when patients at Peach Regional Medical Center move to the new hospital, according to a news release.

Due to the move, the release states the emergency room at Peach Regional will close at 6 a.m. Tuesday, and the emergency room at the new Medical Center will not open until noon the same day.

If anyone is in need of emergency care between 6 a.m. and noon on Tuesday, they are asked to call 911 or go to the nearest open emergency room.

The Medical Center of Peach County is 15,000 square feet larger than Peach Regional and features new, state-of-the-art equipment.
