Armed robbery attempted at Rodeway Inn

A masked male attempted an armed robbery about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at the Rodeway Inn on Eisenhower Parkway, according to a report from the Macon Police Department.

An employee told police the man entered the first set of doors to the lobby and tried to enter the second set but found it locked. She told police he then pointed a gun at the clerk before running toward a nearby barbecue restaurant.

The police found a car that could possibly have been used by the subject. There are no know suspects at this time, according to the report.
