WARNER ROBINS -- The Western Little League 9-10 all-star softball team defeated Warner Robins American Little League West 2-0 to move on to the state tournament in Columbus.

Western scored both runs off of bases-loaded walks.

The game, which was scheduled to be played in Macon at Western, was moved to Warner Robins American due to field conditions.

Bailey Caldwell, who pitched the entire game for Western, had 11 strikeouts and one hit.

“She pitched tremendous,” first year manager Lance Partain said.

Right fielder Madison Tidwell made a game-changing catch for Western.

Partain said Western’s team has been practicing hard and working on fundamentals, which were key to the win.

“They deserve all the credit,” Partain said of his players.
