mstucka@macon.comJuly 2, 2013

Construction near the Interstate 16/Interstate 75 interchange could significantly slow traffic next week.

The construction work is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, and would continue weeknights through 5 a.m. July 19. The work, along Interstate 16 westbound, will close two of three travel lanes close to the Interstate 75 exits.

Workers will be repairing bridge joints over the Ocmulgee River. Drivers should slow and be aware of construction work.
