WARNER ROBINS -- The Vine Ingle Little League 9-10-year-old All-Stars forced a winner-take-all championship game as they came from behind in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat Warner Robins American Little League East 5-4 on Thursday in the District 5 championship round.

Vine Ingle hadn’t been to a championship game in 10 years before Thursday night’s game. It will have to beat Warner Robins again at 4 p.m. on Saturday to advance to the state tournament, which will be held in Franklin.

Vine Ingle came from behind three times in the game, and the win came down to the final play of the game on a run scored by pinch-runner Ethan Fitzpatrick on a passed ball.

“I told them nobody’s gonna outwork us,” Vine Ingle manager Mike Green said.
