WARNER ROBINS -- In the bottom of the sixth inning with the game tied at 3 and two outs, Waldon Davis hit a shot to drive in Jackson Martin for the Vine Ingle Little League 9-10-year-old All Stars on Wednesday as they advanced to the District 5 championship game.

Warner Robins American Little League West was led by Jackson Nipper, who pitched for 6-1/3 innings and gave up just two runs.

Vine Ingle manager Mike Green said the pitching from Warner Robins American Little League West was the best he’d seen but his team rose to the challenge.

“We’re just so proud of all of them,” Green said.

Vine Ingle will face Warner Robins East at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
