Houston County represented at Miss Georgia pageants

Houston County was well represented at the 69th Miss Georgia pageant that was held last week in Columbus.

Courtney Walker, who competed as Miss South Central Georgia, finished second runner-up overall. Walker is a former Miss Warner Robins and a graduate of Warner Robins High School.

Taylor Peterson, Miss Historic Southern Plains’ Outstanding Teen, who is a former Miss Warner Robins Outstanding Teen and is a student at Houston County High School, won the talent award on the first night of preliminary competition and finished in the top 10.

Sydney Hillman, Miss Warner Robins’ Outstanding Teen, and Carmen Foskey, Miss International City’s Outstanding Teen, both received non-finalist awards in interview and talent.

Charlene Bibeau, Miss Warner Robins, received a non-finalist award in talent.

The 2014 Miss Warner Robins pageant will be held at 7 p.m. July 27 at the Homer J. Walker Civic Center. Applications are being accepted for the Outstanding Teen division for girls ages 13-16 and for the Miss division for young women ages 17-23.
