Driving through the juncture of Interstate 75 and Interstate 16 could be especially challenging until work crews finish repairs.

The Georgia Department of Transportation announced Friday the work that was scheduled for this week will linger through next Thursday.

Crews will be repairing the joints in the bridge over the Ocmulgee River between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, if the weather permits.

Both northbound and southbound lanes will intermittently close and motorists will be directed to the emergency lanes.
