Sun News picks all Houston-Peach soccer teams

June 12, 2013

It’s hard to imagine that this wasn’t the Houston-Peach area’s best-ever season for high school soccer. Most of the teams were competitive, and several came away with noteworthy firsts.

The Peach County boys won a playoff soccer match for the first time. The Veterans girls became the first local team to play in a playoff semifinal. The next night, the Houston County boys did the Lady Warhawks one better, qualifying for the Class AAAAA title match. The Bears lost to perennial power McIntosh, but it was hard to be disappointed.
