One of Macons most troublesome interchanges could be even trickier to navigate this week.
The Georgia Department of Transportation expects road work on the split of Interstate 75 and Interstate 16 through Thursday.
Each day between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., maintenance crews will be closing one to two lanes of northbound I-75 as it approaches I-16 at the Ocmulgee River Bridge, according to a DOT news release.
Workers will also need to close the ramp lane from I-75 south to I-16, and drivers will be directed to the emergency lane, the release stated.
Crews will be repairing bridge joints, if weather permits.
Motorists should slow down and pay attention to message signs, orange barrels and cones.
