Gunshot fired at Bibb house

Staff reportsJune 10, 2013

A report of a gunshot about 4 a.m. Monday sent a Bibb County sheriff’s deputy to a home in the 4500 block of Sylvester Circle.

No one was injured.

When the deputy arrived, a resident told him that her neighbor had been sitting in his garage when he saw a dark, late ‘90s model Honda Accord drive past the house with its lights off. Moments later, the car drove by again -- lights still off -- in the opposite direction.

This time the vehicle stopped and the neighbor heard what sounded like a gunshot, according to an incident report.

The neighbor called the resident and told her what he had seen. The resident, who had been sleeping, told authorities she checked the house and saw that a window had been shot out.
