Report: Northside, Mary Persons among nation’s best high schools

Northside and Mary Persons high schools have made the U.S. News & World Report’s list of best high schools in the nation for 2013.

Northside High School in Warner Robins is ranked 38th in Georgia and 1,850th nationally, while Mary Persons High School in Forsyth is ranked 47th in the state and 2,282nd nationally, according to the report.

In Georgia, 47 schools were ranked, while several others were mentioned in the report without rankings. The report evaluated more than 21,000 schools nationwide. Schools received gold, silver or bronze medals based on several standards. Both Northside and Mary Persons received silver medals, according to the report.
