Tyler Ward hit a home run, and Orlando Mack made a home-run saving catch as Tattnall Square beat Deerfield-Windsor 4-3 to win the GISA Class AAA state championship on Saturday.

The Trojans (27-7-1) beat the Knights 2-0 in Game 1 on Friday night.

The win gives the Trojans their second straight state title and their seventh overall, with all coming in the past 14 years.

Will Herndon got the win in relief for the Trojans, while Game 1 starter Taylor Ferringer came in to get the save for the second straight series-clinching game.
