The Georgia Department of Natural Resources reports two people drowned over the Memorial Day weekend and 39 citations were issued for boating under the influence, including four on Lake Sinclair.
A Bibb County ordinance prohibits alcohol on Lake Tobesofkee and its parks.
The legal limit for alcohol consumption dropped from .10 to .08 for boaters.
DNR also reports one person drowned in the Augusta canal and another body was recovered from a private pond in Coffee County.
Five injuries were reported in six incidents in the state, including three on Lake Allatoona and two on Lake Lanier.
