Warner Robins police arrest 2 in burglary

WARNER ROBINS -- Two people were arrested early Friday in connection with a burglary at Pop’s Food Mart on North Davis Drive.

James Wesley Morgan, 35, of Warner Robins, was charged with burglary, fleeing and attempting to elude, open container, removing/affixing a license plate with intent to conceal, obstruction of an officer, reckless driving and driving with an expired license, a Warner Robins police news release stated. Lisa Marie Roberts, 32, of Warner Robins, was arrested on charges of party to the crime of burglary.

According to the release, a man, later identified as Morgan, was seen leaving the store that was closed for business and getting inside a car with another person. Officers caught up with the car at Ignico and Chris drives. Police struggled briefly with Morgan before he and Roberts were taken into custody. The incident happened about 4:30 a.m.
