Movie filming causes Bibb animal shelter to close early Friday

The Bibb County animal shelter on Macon’s Eleventh Street will close at 1 p.m. Friday because traffic will be blocked on Lower Poplar Street from 2-6 p.m.

The road is closing to accommodate filming of the movie “Need for Speed.”

Normal hours at the shelter will resume Saturday, according to a news release from Bibb County public affairs officer Kevin Barrere.
