WARNER ROBINS -- Two people have been arrested in the Wednesday burglary of a commercial building in the 100 block of Old Hawkinsville Road.

David Scott Durham, 38, of Centerville, and Shayna Self, 28, of Warner Robins, were both charged with second-degree burglary in connection with the 12:35 p.m. incident, said Houston County sheriff’s Capt. Jon Holland.

Durham was also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of methamphetamine, Holland said. Both are free on bond.

The property owner arrived at the building used to house vehicles, boats and heavy equipment to see two people he didn’t know inside the fenced-off property, Holland said. The two, later identified as Durham and Self, fled into the woods.

Arriving deputies found a green duffle bag and bolt cutters near the building. The duffle bag had parts taken from vehicles and boats on the property. Durham was spotted Wednesday near a pickup truck parked at a residential neighborhood nearby, while Self was arrested Thursday morning, Holland said.
