UPDATE: Warner Robins police officer involved in early morning accident

WARNER ROBINS — A police officer was involved in a two-vehicle wreck early Wednesday morning that temporarily closed Houston Lake Road at Watson Boulevard.

Warner Robins police Officer James Durby, who was driving a patrol vehicle, collided in the intersection with a Mazda Minivan driven by 34-year-old Marsha Johnson of Warner Robins, according to authorities. The drivers were taken to Houston Medical Center for treatment and were released. The accident happened shortly before 4:30 a.m.

Houston County sheriff’s Cpl. Sean Alexander, who worked the crash, said the accident remains under investigation with a reconstruction analysis expected.
