Mentally handicapped man goes missing again

A mentally handicapped man who had been missing from downtown Macon since Friday evening was found about midnight Saturday at Houston Avenue and Broadway, but he’s missing again.

Derwin Eric Lawson, who is 28 with the mental capacity of a young child, is reported to have left his home at 2578 Alanway Drive about 6 p.m. Sunday. His parents said he is wearing blue or black trousers, a red and white striped shirt. He is clean shaven and has a crew cut-style hair cut. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Macon Police Department at 751-7500.
