A 21-year-old Dublin woman likely fell asleep before a deadly head-on collision early Tuesday in Bleckley County, according to a Georgia State Patrol investigation.

Alexandria Gray was killed after crossing the center line of Ga. 26, about a tenth of a mile from Trail Branch Church Road at about 7:15 a.m., according to the report filed by Trooper 1st Class Keith Collins.

Gray’s 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix was headed west and collided with an eastbound 2008 Dodge Nitro, driven by 53-year-old Wayne Scott of Cochran, the report stated.

Scott suffered injuries to his upper extremities and was taken by ambulance to The Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, the report stated.
