Applications available for summer job program

The Joy Foundation is accepting applications for its Dream Job Apprenticeship Program. The summer program runs from June 17-28 and “provides a unique opportunity for students between the ages of 14-16 to experiment with different careers through mentorship and hands-on-training,” according to a news release. The deadline to apply is April 30. The application and requirements may be found on the foundation’s website, http://www.wracjoyfoundation.cloudaccess.net. CASA to hold auction and gala

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Houston County will hold a “I am for the Child” Gala and Auction May 3 at the Courtyard Marriott, 589 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins. A cocktail hour (cash bar) and silent auction will be held 7-8 p.m., with the gala beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $50 per a person and include dinner. Attire is semi-formal.
