Three cars and a chain fence were damaged early Monday morning when a 27-year-old Macon woman fell asleep at the wheel and ran into Downtown Motors at Plum and Second streets.
Danielle Mason said she had gone out with friends after getting off her job at midnight.
I had my radio blasting so I wouldnt go to sleep and I fell asleep, Mason said. I was tired at work and I guess I shouldnt have gone out.
Masons Honda Civic LX smashed into the chain fence and stanchion on the lot, then hit a parked silver Mercedes that crashed into a Honda Accord at about 5 a.m.
Both cars were for sale.
The Mercedes was damaged along the passenger side and front drivers side where it crashed into the passenger side headlight of the Accord.
Car lot owner Mike Sharafi appeared more concerned about Mason than his damaged vehicles.
Its just a car, it happens. Its OK maam, Sharafi told her.
Mason was shaken up, but did not initially appear to be hurt, although her Civic sustained damage to the front end and left front wheel.
