Midstate under tornado watch until 4 a.m.

April 11, 2013

All of North and Middle Georgia is under a tornado watch until 4 a.m. There are severe storms north of Atlanta and in east Alabama, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City. The storms in Alabama should be entering the Macon area about midnight, said meteorologist Ryan Willis. The storms “should be on a downward trend by then,” he said, adding that they’re keeping a close eye on a line of storms in front of the more severe weather.
