A Florida man who stopped for gas on Harrison Road was robbed of money and his truck about 3:40 a.m. Friday.

John Lee, 56, of Sun City Center, Fla. was filling up at the Murphy USA when a gunman and his accomplice approached, demanding money, said Lt. Sean DeFoe of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Once they got the money, the men hopped in Lee’s Ford F-150 pickup and drove off.

Deputies later found the truck abandoned, still running at the Chambers Cove Apartment Complex nearby.

The robbers are described as black men with slender builds. One was wearing a blue jean jacket and the other had a black, hooded jacket, DeFoe said.
