All lanes of traffic have reopened after rainy morning accidents on Interstate 75 North closed a portion of the highway early Monday.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office announced just after 5:30 a.m. that the road was shut down between Rocky Creek Road and the Eisenhower Parkway accident due to at least two accidents, including one that involved a patrol vehicle.

The Rocky Creek Road accident cleared by 6 a.m. and then all lanes of traffic reopened at about 6:20 a.m. at mile marker 160 near the Eisenhower Parkway accident.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office was also investigating an accident where a vehicle ran off the road and damaged a sign near the Bolingbroke exit.
