Macon man robbed while in vehicle

Macon police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Wednesday afternoon near the corner of Richmond Street and Broadway.

According to a police report, the victim was driving along Richmond Street when a dark blue 2001 Cadillac Fleetwood sedan approached from the opposite direction and tried to get the victim to stop. When he did, the other driver asked for directions to Atlanta. As the victim started to give him directions, the other driver pulled out a gun and demanded the victim’s money and jewelry.

The victim gave him about $600 in cash and two gold bracelets. The report said a second person was in the gunman’s vehicle but didn’t exit the car. The gunman got back into his car and drove toward Broadway.

The gunman is described as a black male, in his late 20s, 6 feet tall and 230 pounds with shoulder-length dreadlocks.
