Published: March 20, 2013

A 28-year-old Macon man was shot in the stomach late Tuesday night at a house in the 1500 block of Third Street, according to Macon police.

When police arrived, Levorian Jacorrio Burke was inside a house, doubled over on the floor, according to a police report released Wednesday.

Burke told police a woman had knocked on the door and said she wanted to buy marijuana.

As he handed her the drugs, two masked men appeared and said “Give it up. Give it up,” according to the report.

He said he heard a couple gunshots and then the men ran out of the house.

Police found marijuana inside and outside the house. They also found two digital scales and a box of clear sandwich bags, according to the report.

Burke was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at 751-7500 or Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at (877) 68-CRIME.
