A gunman fired shots at a west Bibb County couple shortly after they arrived home at about 11:40 p.m., Monday.
Deputies were called to the 400 block of Big Oak Court in reference to possible shots fired and screams, according to a sheriffs office report. When deputies reached the scene, the couple told them they were robbed in the 200 block of Little Hickory Drive. The male victim told deputies his wife was holding a money bag filled with $15,000 from the store they own, the report stated.
As the couple entered their garage and attempted to lower the door, they were approached by a man wearing a black hoodie pulled over his face with a gun in his right hand. The gunman grabbed the female victim and tried to snatch the money bag from her. The couple attempted to keep the man from grabbing the bag, and the gunman dragged them both to the ground. The male victim told deputies the gunman fired possibly two shots into the garage, and then he held the gun to the mans forehead. The couple released the bag and told the assailant to take whatever her wants.
