Man robs Sun Trust bank branch in Macon

Suspect in Sun Trust Bank robbery

A man who made no efforts to hide his identity robbed a Macon bank Monday, police said.

Macon police are searching for the man who walked into the Sun Trust Bank at 3600 Mercer University Drive about 1:17 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash in a Honda Accord, which may be greenish blue.

No weapon was seen or threatened, and no one was hurt in the incident.

The suspect is described as a black male with a medium build and a mustache. He was wearing a light-colored golf shirt patterned with large squares.
