How long have you been in business?: Peavy has owned the 24-year-old business the past three years, and he has moved twice “because we keep growing.”

What do you like best about your job?: “Being able to interact with all age groups ... from 3-year-olds to 70-year-olds,” he said. Many of the older customers are looking for vintage toys or old comic books.

What is your specialty?: The store carries trading card games, sports trading cards, comics, books, magazines, Lego toys, miniatures for games, GI Joe figures and Transformers. “And we have stuff for girls,” he said.

The store has gaming rooms and is able to handle gaming groups or tournaments and birthday parties.

What are your future plans?: “Right now I’m still working on the website,” he said. “It’s up, but I want to add more stuff to it. I want to get in more events and bigger events. Two years ago, it was the first time Macon had been picked to hold a major Pokémon tournament. ... Now we’ve had it for two years in a row,” because the store was large enough to handle it, he said.
