A Macon man was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute Wednesday after a Macon police officer noticed the car he was in was parked illegally.
According to a police report, Jarvis Tillman, 28, was in the passenger seat of a car parked in the middle of the roadway at Brookdale Avenue at Mercer Street. The officer approached the vehicle and noticed a small bag of pot in the ashtray under the radio. The officer asked the driver and Tillman if they had any narcotics or firearms in the car and Tillman eventually admitted that he had a small bag of marijuana under a pair of jeans in the center console. The officer ordered the two out of the vehicle and searched it, finding several more bags of marijuana, the report stated.
The driver, Shateka Hardnett, 24, was cited for improper parking and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
