Macon man arrested after marijuana found in residence

The Macon Police Department Drug Squad responded to a complaint of drug activity in the 2000 block of Hart Smith Street on Tuesday evening, according to a news release from police information officer Jami Gaudet.

Officers were permitted to conduct a search of the house occupied by Larry Dean Banks, who resides there. Marijuana totaling over $300 was discovered in two locations inside the house. Banks was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with Intent to distribute and a Superior Court Probation Violation.

He remains in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center at 11 p.m. Tuesday night.
