Perry City Council has postponed its retreat after Councilwoman Phyllis Bynum-Graces son passed Sunday evening, according to Mayor Jimmy Faircloth.
The council had planned a retreat, which the city calls a planning session, for Tuesday evening. Faircloth said it will now be held sometime in April.
There are things on the agenda that I think its imperative to have everyone there for the discussion, he said.
Faircloth said the councilwomans son, in his 40s, died after a fight with cancer. The funeral will be held Friday.
