Warner Robins Middle School will be closed Monday as officials look into a possible gas leak at the school, according to a news release.
The school will be closed for students only, and employees will meet in a safe area of the building for work. After-school activities also are canceled. All other Houston County schools remain open.
School administrators learned of a possible gas leak Sunday afternoon. Maintenance employees have been working with the city of Warner Robins to resolve the issue, the release states. School is expected to resume Tuesday.
Affected families are being notified of the closure by the school systems automated calling system. When possible, another call will go out regarding school on Tuesday.
