A 22-year-old Perry man was charged with rape Saturday on allegations he forced himself on a 16-year-old girl at a home in the 100 block of Hidden Lake Court, according to Macon police.

Jalarius Janore Whitfield, of King Circle, is being held without bond at the Bibb County jail, according to jail records.

A fight erupted just before police arrived about 9:40 a.m. Saturday. When an officer pulled up, a large group of people were gathered, according to a police report released Monday.

The 16-year-old girl told police Whitfield arrived about 6 a.m. with some other people. They were on the couch when he raped her about an hour later, according to the report.

The girl said she told Whitfield she was 12 years old.

Whitfield was at the home when police arrived and was taken into custody, according to the report.
