A Bibb County man died early Saturday when he hit a tree in the 400 block of Russellville Road.
Jeffrey Brannen Croft Jr., 25, of Lizella, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies, who were dispatched to the accident shortly before 5:45 a.m. Saturday, found Croft’s black GMC Sonoma off the road.
He was wearing his seat belt, but the cause of the crash is unknown, the release stated.
