A 46-year-old man was sentenced to three years in prison Monday in connection with a 2011 domestic dispute that resulted in him stabbing one man seven times and another three times.

Brian Tober, of Ocmulgee East Boulevard, pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated assault in a Bibb County Superior Court hearing.

Tober, while living with his girlfriend Margie Wren, got into an argument with Wren’s son on Dec. 8, 2011. He stabbed Wren’s son, Moki Elsasser, seven times. He also stabbed her grandson, Johnny Gibbs of Warner Robins, three times as Gibbs tried to break up the fight, said Pamela White Colbert, a Bibb County prosecutor.

Wren also was cut during the incident, as was Tober.

At Monday’s hearing, Tober asked the judge if he’d be able to see Wren after he’s released from prison. White Colbert said Wren wants to continue having contact with Tober.

After his release, Tober must serve five years on probation and is barred from having contact with Elsasser and Gibbs.
