A Laurens County teenager was killed Tuesday when he lost control of an all-terrain vehicle.

Tucker James Slaughter, 15, of Dexter, was traveling west on the shoulder of Alcorn Road at about 12:45 p.m. when the ATV overturned and he was thrown from the vehicle, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

Slaughter died. His passenger, 15-year-old Jarett Reed Henry of Dudley, was injured.
