After another 1.23 inches of rain Tuesday in Macon, the Ocmulgee River is under a new flood warning.
As of 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, the river was at 19.27 feet in Macon and was projected to crest Thursday at 19.6 feet.
The river level is not expected to drop below flood stage of 18 feet until Saturday.
Minor flooding will continue on the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail near the Otis Redding Bridge and at the lower levels of Gateway Park.
At Hawkinsville, the Ocmulgee was at 17.65 feet at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday and on the rise toward flood stage of 20 feet.
The river is expected to crest at 23.1 feet at Hawkinsville early Monday.
Only minor flooding is forecast on the southside of town, but residents of Gooseneck Lane could be cut off from their homes.
On the Oconee River, only minor flooding is expected below Oconee.
