Angela Davis will be the featured speaker at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Georgia College & State University’s Centennial Center, 251 S. Clark St., Milledgeville.

The lecture is part of the college’s Flagg Social Justice Legacy series.

Davis, an educator and author, is widely known for her civil rights activism in the 1960’s and 70’s. In recent years much of her work has centered around social problems, including incarceration, poverty and racial and gender discrimination.
