Laurens County Schools to reopen Wednesday

Published: February 26, 2013

Laurens County Schools, which were closed Tuesday because of impassably muddy roads, will be reopened Wednesday, along with most other midstate schools.

Laurens County Schools were among several Georgia systems that closed after heavy rains damaged dirt roads and started causing problems even on paved roads.

Dublin City Schools remained open.

Other school systems planning to reopen include those in Dodge, Telfair, Treutlen and Wheeler counties.

Toombs County schools will remain closed Wednesday.

It wasn’t clear whether Johnson County schools would reopen.
