Two arrested in Macon shooting case

Two men wanted in a Feb. 10 shooting in Macon were arrested by authorities Monday at an area motel, according to a U.S. Marshals news release.

Anquan “A.J.” Joel Howard and Eric Lamar Jackson, whose nickname is “Man Man,” are accused of firing shots at a victim and into the victim’s house on Charlotte Street.

Howard and Jackson were arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and Macon Police Department after authorities received information about their location.

On Feb. 10, Howard and Jackson are alleged to have fired numerous gunshots at the victims, which included three small children, according to the release. Howard and Jackson fled the area and went into hiding.

The two were being sought on six counts of aggravated assault. Additionally, Howard was wanted for terroristic threats and a parole violation. Both are documented members of the Macon Mafia street gang, according to the release.
