A Dodge County woman drove into the side of a train in a fatal accident shortly after 9 a.m. Monday.
Dorothy Lee Coley, 72, of Chester, was pronounced dead at the railroad crossing at Ga. 257 in Empire, said Dodge County Coroner Joe Smith.
A witness traveling behind Coley said the railroad crossing arms were down and the warning lights were flashing when she drove through the crossing and hit the side of the northbound Norfolk Southern train, Smith said.
