Macon police are following leads after eight people were wounded in a shooting early Sunday in the 2800 block of Mercer University Drive.
One person was critically wounded in the thigh, and at least four others were treated and released, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.
Officers were called at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday to investigate the shooting at a house in Unionville, just a few blocks from where Columbus Road joins Mercer University Drive.
One or possibly two people opened fire in the house, the release stated.
