Monster Jam is roaring back into the Macon Coliseum this weekend for three shows.
Perennial favorites Grave Digger, driven by Gary Porter, and Monster Mutt, driven by Whit Tarlton, will be joined by Triple XXX, driven by Chrissy Moler, Nitemare, driven by Andy Hoffman, Mountaineer, driven by RB Moler, and Virginia Giant, driven by Diehl Wilson.
According to a news release, the trucks are about 12 feet tall and 12 feet wide and weigh 10,000 pounds. They will compete in two different forms of competition: side-by-side racing and freestyle.
Side-by-side racing is traditional bracket racing, where the first truck, with the least amount of penalties, that crosses the finish line is declared the winner. The freestyle competition allows drivers a limited amount of time on the open floor to show off their skills, with the fans serving as judges, the release said.
The Saturday afternoon show will be preceded by a Party in the Pits from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., giving fans a chance get a close-up view of the trucks, take pictures, meet the drivers and get autographs.
The pit party requires a $10 pass in addition to a ticket to the 2 p.m. Monster Jam performance.
