The Mercer womens basketball team battled back from a nine-point second half deficit to escape with a 55-54 road win over USC Upstate on Monday evening at the Hodge Center in Spartanburg, S.C.
Mercer (18-7, 12-2 A-Sun) has run its winning streak up to 12 straight games, the programs longest since ripping off 14 in a row as a Division II member in the 1984-85 season.
Precious Bridges poured in a game-high 20 points, her 12th game of scoring 20 or more points this season. Teanna Robinson tallied a career-high 16 rebounds, while Sharnea Boykin handed out 13 assists, her fourth game with 10 or more assists this season.
