A 22-year-old Macon woman was charged with aggravated assault Wednesday after knocking a relative unconscious, according to Macon police.
A 62-year-old woman, whose name has not been released by police, intervened when Kierra Lashon Thomas was shaking her 2-year-old daughter, according to a police news release issued Thursday morning.
While the 62-year-old womans son attempted to stop the disagreement, Thomas allegedly kicked the woman in the stomach and struck her in the head, leaving her unconscious, according to the release.
Police responded to the domestic dispute in the 2600 block of Tuxedo Road just before 8 a.m. Wednesday. The 62-year-old woman was not responsive and was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia. Thomas was taken to the Bibb County jail, where her bond was set at $16,700, according to the release.
