A section of U.S. 129 passing through Gray near Ga. 22 was closed for several hours Tuesday after an early morning traffic crash caused traffic to be diverted, according to Gray police.
A tractor-trailer struck a utility pole just before 7 a.m., breaking the pole and putting nearly a thousand Georgia Power customers in the dark.
Power was restored at about noon Tuesday, said John Kraft, a Georgia Power spokesman.
The road reopened at about 1 p.m., according to police.
