Rivers and creeks continue to recede in Middle Georgia.
The Echeconnee Creek near Byron dropped below flood stage of 15 feet Thursday and had dropped to 14.17 feet as of 5:15 a.m.
On the Ocmulgee River in Macon, the water level was 14.54 feet at 5:30 a.m. and is projected to continue dropping.
The Ocmulgee Heritage Trail and Amerson Park remain closed until the area fully dries out.
